Early learning and child care in New Brunswick is governed by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to provide a more seamless and holistic approach to child development from birth to graduation.

The department is responsible for the planning, design and monitoring of all departmental early childhood programs and services.

The provincial child care portal is an interactive Web site that allows families to search for all licensed early learning and child care facilities in their geographic area.

It will provide:

• facilities’ contact information
• age groups served
• language of service
• facilities’ inspection reports
• parent subsidy estimator
